Ludlow Summer Exhibition

To all artists,

Apologies once again to those of you who have sent in applications, or who already know the following...

Most of you are aware that Alan Grieve, Chairman & Director of The Jerwood Foundation (http://www.jerwood.org/) will be on our selection panel.

Joining Alan Grieve is Desmond Shawe-Taylor, Surveyor of The Queen's Pictures. Mr Shawe-Taylor has been responsible for The Royal Collection since 2004, and we are so delighted that he is offering his support to the exhibition.

The final selector is Steve Cass, Head of Art at Ludlow College. Last year Steve's students received 100% passes, and the new Millichope Art & Design Centre, where the art student's work, and where the summer exhibition will be held, is an inspiration. We are very grateful for all Steve's support this year.

Finally, we now have a donation of £1,000 toward a prize award. We do not yet know the details of how this prize shall be conferred. We are working toward receiving further prize donations, and I will keep you informed.

Final date for submissions is 6 June. Please do contact me if you would like any further information.

With best wishes,

Jo King

Ludlow Summer Exhibition

This is a group mail to all artists who have enquired about the Ludlow Summer Exhibition, which will run from 31 July to 15 August this year.

Those of you who have already submitted work for selection, I think this information will still be of interest to you.

As you no doubt know, The Jerwood Foundation (www.jerwood.org) sponsors all areas of the visual arts, including photography, painting, drawing, sculpture, applied arts and the moving image. We are now able to announce that Alan Grieve, Chairman and Director of The Jerwood Foundation, will lead the selection panel for the first Ludlow Summer Exhibition.

We are delighted and honoured to have Alan Grieve on board. If you have not already applied to the exhibition, this is a wonderful opportunity to have your work seen directly by such a high profile supporter of the arts.

We hope to announce some prize categories at a later date.

The final date for submissions is 6 June.

I am sorry to send out such an impersonal group mail - if you would like to contact me direct for any further information, please do so.

Best wishes,

Jo King
